Pay Range: 18.00 - 30.00 USD / Hour

There is currently a signing bonus after the successful completion of 30 days of employment:

  • $1500 for "B" Shift
  • $1000 for "A" Shift

Description: We take pride in our skilled setup machinists as key contributors to meeting our customers' critical requirements. In aviation, space, and defense, the end user literally depends on quality, and you can be a part of delivering that! In this role, you would be setting up and operating various CNC mills, potentially including 5-axis and large-format bridge mills, and making suggestions to increase throughput and accuracy, and participating in continual improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate mills and related equipment, including but not limited to choosing and loading appropriate tools and fixtures to job needs.
  • Run programs, perform measurements, and make adjustments as necessary to meet customer specifications &p; standards.
  • Work with quality department with regards to first piece, in process and final inspection – completing notification and documentation as needed.
  • Assist and train other operators as appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot as needed, participate in continual improvement initiatives, and corrective actions.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Experience requirements:

  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to program using G & M code, experience in Mastercam is a plus.
  • Knowledge of 4+ Axis, large format, or mill-turn equipment is a plus.
  • Able to use tools of the trade: jigs, fixtures, vices, etc.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications and quality plans- and maintain documentation.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Capable of organizing to and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work standing, bending, lifting and carrying 35lbs.
